Kol Eliyahu

Kol Eliyahu - is a orthodox Synagogue located in Brooklyn, New York. Our traditions and roots date back to Beirut, Lebanon, under the leadership of Rabbi Yaakov Attieh and Hacham Shahud Schrem. The Magen Avraham Synagouge was located in the Abu Wadi Jamil section where most of our kehilah resided.

During the early 1970's, Lebanese Jews resettled in many countries throughout the world including Israel, Brazil, Panama, Mexico, Canada and America.

The Sephardic Lebanese Congregation was founded in the 1980s under the leadership of Dr. Isaac Madeb. Under the spiritual leadership of Rabbi Eliyahu Elbaz in conjunction with Mr. Albert Mohadeb, an expert in Lebanese tradition and custom, the congregation has grown to incorporate over 300 families and over 2,000 people. We continue to emphasize our love for Torah, Tefilah and Gemilut Hasadim. We have daily prayer and class schedules, Shabbat Programs for all ages, and many community events throughout the year.

"Kol Eliyahu": The name Kol Eliyahu was generously sponsored by the Zeitoune family in 2007.
